Homemade Chicken Tikka

HOMEMADE GRUB TO WARM UP THE CHILLIEST OF EVENINGS - IDEAL FOR A NORTHERN NIGHT IN!

Ingredients

  • 3-4 boneless and skinless chicken breasts pricked all over & then cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 100 ml of natural yoghurt (whisked)
  • Juice of 1/2 a lemon
  • 1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
  • 2 tsp of corn flour
  • 2-3 tbsp of oil

Spices

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1-2 tsp salt (to taste)
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2-3 chopped green chillies

Method

  1. Take a mixing bowl & add all the ingredients. Give it a good mix. Marinate the chicken overnight or for 6-7 hrs.
  2. Preheat the oven to 240 C
  3. Place the chicken pieces on a baking tray & cook for 15 mins or so, turning only once
