Walkers Will Reach Their Peaks
by Northern Life
Walk your way to happiness
Colne Open Door Centre, a drop-in support centre in Waterside in Pendle, is tackling the three highest peaks in the United Kingdom in memory of the 59 people who sadly decided to commit suicide in Pendle, Burnley, and the Ribble Valley last year.
Taking on the challenge on the 15th of September, Maj Mahmood, Nick Alderson, Aidy Lamb, and Darren Nutter will be raising money for the suicide charity CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) by tackling the three highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales in less than 24 hours. Not only that, they will be taking the highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales in 24 hours. They’ll be carrying 59 pairs of shoes up and down every mountain in memory of all 59 people who sadly left us.
