Travel back to the early 1900s, and experience what life was like for mill workers in Lancashire's iconic weaving mill, Queen Street Mill. With authentically dressed and expert staff on hand, you can explore the mill as it was in its hey day. Guided tours at 12.30pm, 1.45pm, 3pm on a strictly first-come-first-serve basis. Free.      

Explore Textiles Week – Saxons

In this session, we'll be exploring the Saxons. How did the Saxons live? How did they make things? What clothes did they wear? In this hands on, family-friendly session we'll find the answers. Adults £3, Children £5.          

DIY Tie Dye and Block Printing

Queen St Mill Textile Museum Harle Syke, Burnley

Create your own unique t-shirts or fabrics using Tie Dye in the first of Queen St Mill's two workshops. Learn how to tie dye 100% cotton fabrics, discovering different techniques to fold, manipulate and secure the fabric. Fabric will be provided. Choose from a selection of coloured dyes to immerse your fabrics in.  Workshop 1 (11 Jan) - £12. Workshop 2 (18 Jan) - £5.  Booking is essential as places are limited.
