We will be running a diesel locomotive-hauled service throughout the day, featuring either our Class 37 or Class 14, when we will serve you the finest cask ales from our on-train bar, as you travel through the Bronte countryside.

On successive weekends in 2023, Vintage Trains will operate using a selection of our collection of historic older coaches, many of which date back to Victorian times and rarely see public use. These carriages form part of the Railway’s museum collection. Every weekend from 22nd July - 20th Aug.

Many visitors won’t remember steam traction, so the Diesel Gala brings back memories of these heritage machines that worked right from the end of steam up until recent memory – and in some cases, continue to do so!

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway will host the locomotive throughout May and help celebrate the landmark birthday. There will be a whole host of events across the month, including ride the legend, special dining services, late-night running and plenty of photo opportunities.  Exact dates to confirmed.

You’ll be able to ride behind the guest locomotives and the home fleet across the four days, with intensive passenger service running on the railway. Across the traction-packed weekend, there’ll be a goods train demonstration and special double-headed trains.  Buy online at least 3 days in advance of your visit and save 10% compared to the price you would pay on the day.

Join us on the Elf Explorer for a magical experience this Christmas.  Your experience begins when you arrive at Oxenhope station and are taken exploring through a winter wonderland by an Elf from the North Pole. You’ll then be able to write a list for Santa before boarding a steam train named The Elf Explorer for a fun-filled adventure with Father Christmas and his helpers.  Every weekend from 26th Nov - 18th Dec and 22nd - 24th Dec.
