If you're searching for your ancestors and need a little help or advice, there are volunteers available in the library to answer your questions, help you with your family history research and show you family history resources available that we've paid for so you don't have to.  Every Wednesday 10am - 12pm. Free.

LITTLE STEPS SESSION

Come along to this regular family session aimed at children aged 2 to 5. It's all about chatting, playing, reading and learning. First Mon of every month, 11.30am - 12pm. Free.

Guided Walk form Colne Library

Each walk is led by a volunteer who has been trained by Pendle Leisure Trust. Suitable clothing and footwear should be worn for all walks. 2pm from Colne library. Free. For further details contact Jennifer Little 07732 913617.

Shared Reading Group

Make friends through reading. Shared reading groups are a new type of reading group. They are very relaxing as there is no reading required before coming to the group. Instead each group has someone who reads aloud to the group and encourages discussion. Chatting about what has been read over "a brew and a biscuit" is a big part of the group. All printed materials are provided at each meeting - no books to borrow or buy and no reading to a deadline! Every Wed 2.15pm - 3.15pm.

Calling all master builders and Lego enthusiasts! Come and share your passion and amazing creations at our Lego Club. For children and young people. Children under 8 must be accompanied. Every Sat 10am - 3pm. Drop in. Free.

Let’s Play Scrabble

Scrabble and other traditional board games are enjoying growing popularity in our digital age. Why not come and enjoy a game of Scrabble with good company and a cuppa? Every Tues 2pm to 4.pm.  Free, just drop in.

Top to Toe Yoga

This intermediate yoga session will be led by a qualified instructor. Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for exercise and stretching. Every Wed,  11.30am to 12.30pm. Free event, booking required.

NHS Healthy Start gives families the best start in life by providing help, through a pre-paid Healthy Start card, to buy basic foods. If you’re more than 10 weeks pregnant or have a child under 4, the Healthy Start scheme can help you buy healthy foods like milk or fruit and get free vitamins. Staff at these drop-in digital support sessions will help you to find out if you are eligible and support you to apply online.
