The Barricade Boys Announce ‘Bring Him Home Tour’ For 2022

One of the UK’s most exciting musical theatre group The Barricade Boys are heading back on the road in 2022, with their Bring Him Home Tour coming to Manchester, Bradford and Sheffield. Starring past performers from the global theatrical sensation that is Les Misérables, The Barricade Boys have entertained fans around the world since they formed in 2015.
Not only will the Bring Him Home Tour will feature music from Les Misérables, there will be songs from some of the best-loved shows from the West End and Broadway stage including Phantom Of The Opera, Miss Saigon and Jersey Boys. The Barricade Boys will also perform timeless hits from some of pop and rock music’s all-time greats including Queen, Elton John, The Beatles, Ed Sheeran and Adele.
Simon Schofield and Scott Garnham established The Barricade Boys with the aim of creating a night at the musicals like no other. Along with Kieran Brown and Craig Mather, they blend powerhouse vocal harmonies and slick dance routines with a journey through the decades of musical theatre, bound together by the friendship and affection they have for each other and sharing anecdotes from the shows they have starred in.
“The Barricade Boys all have one thing in common,” says Scott Garnham, “our shared history of performing in the West End, International tour and movie versions of Les Misérables, which is the world’s greatest musical without a doubt. Through that connection, we have developed great friendships which make our shows a very special event for theatre-goers.”
“While our background is in musical theatre,” Simon Schofield adds, “we also love to perform hits from the greatest artists of our time and we can’t wait to share our take on tracks from music legends such as The Rolling Stones, Tom Jones, The Beatles and Elton John.”
The Bring Him Home Tour follows The Barricade Boys’ lockdown hit, which drew together famous faces from the West End and Broadway including Alfie Boe, Ramin Karimloo and John Owen Jones, to release a special new version of the iconic Les Mis’ track Bring Him Home in celebration of the NHS.
To date the track has received more than three million views online and caught the attention of the UK press with interviews on national television including SKY News and BBC News. The group were also very honoured to have their new release endorsed by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby with the song launched and played live on ITV’s This Morning.
The Barricade Boys been invited to perform regularly at many prestigious events at some of London’s most glamorous venues including The Dorchester, the Ritz and The Savoy and have often supported well-known names on their UK tours. The group have produced two sold-out Christmas residencies at Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber’s newest theatre The Other Palace with the likes of Matt Lucas, Samantha Barks and Michael Xavier joining them on stage. They were then invited to take their very successful Christmas show to Dubai for a festive extravaganza with guest star Kerry Ellis. The show was a success with a 900-strong socially distanced audience despite being in the middle of a global pandemic.
No stranger to TV appearances, The Barricade Boys have featured on This Morning, The Paul O’Grady Show, Sunday Night at the Palladium, Children In Need and Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway to name just a few. They are also one of the most sought after acts in the cruise industry, appearing on 50 different cruise ships.
