  1. This will keep for a couple of days in the fridge and can be reheated – it tastes better the next day. Add dumplings part way through, or if reheating, transfer to a flat casserole dish/tray and add a rough puff or shortcrust pastry top to make a quick cheat pie.

  2. Can I just ask please is this recipe based on diced beef or actual tins of corned beef, the cheap stuff? Thanks, just a bit unsure.

  3. I live in a beautiful country apartment complex and am going to put this recipe in our monthly newsletter for January as it looks easy for residents who have slow cookers. My query is you mention baked beans without stating whether it is one tin of baked beans. If it was me I would put one 250g tin of beans into the slow cooker. Might be useful to adjust your ingredients list…

    • Hi Angie, you don’t need to cook the potatoes beforehand. You can just throw them in raw and uncooked, they’ll be thoroughly cooked by the time you take them out of the slow cooker. 🙂

    • Hi Carolann, thanks for pointing this out. We’ve updated the recipe. You can add the beans at the same time as the beef etc or pop them in heated at the end, before serving.
