Rola Wala to launch plant protein Rebel ‘Spice’ Bowl for Veganuary

2^nd January 2018: New-wave Indian-inspired fast food concept Rola Wala is launching its new Rebel ‘Spice’ Bowl; made up of ‘carbstitute’ black bean noodles and packed with 30g of protein per bowl, this is the ultimate meal to see you through January’s health kick resolutions.

Following the recent Grow Green report from the New Economic Foundation and The Vegan Society* that highlights the importance of switching up meat for plant proteins, Rola Wala has created a flavour-packed bowl that covers all your January needs. In one serving there’s 30g of protein for your ramped up gym schedule, a charred broccoli base perfect for those taking part in Veganuary, and under 500kcal per bowl if you’ve vowed a healthy start to 2018.

The Twisted Indian street food start-up turned UK restaurant business brainstormed The Rebel ‘Spice’ Bowl after finding a gap in the healthy fast-food market for a spice-fuelled flavours, balanced with low-cal, high-protein dishes to see people from the office through to the gym.

The Rebel ‘Spice’ Bowl is an all-rounder for those with an active lifestyle and doesn’t comprise on flavour, catering for diners who are vegan and gluten-free. Top the dish with vegan fillings such as Rola Wala’s Keralan Chickpea, Red Channa Dal or Sweet Potato Saagwala to build on the delicious flavour.
