Hip Hooray

My left foot was sideways
I banged into shop doors
On going to the bedroom
I was reduced to all fours
Along came the surgeon
To cure all my ills
Just plastic and metal
No medicine and pills
I now walk so freely
No chance of a slip
With the Rolls Royce precision
In my brand new hip
For though at the time
My condition seemed drastic
I’m much better now
And feel quite fantastic.
