L.S LOWRY EXHIBITION
The Lowry is named after Laurence Stephen Lowry (1887 – 1976) – an artist who spent much of his life in Salford and whose work is strongly associated with the city. The largest L.S Lowry collection in the world on permanent display. Daily 10-minute L.S.Lowry talks on weekdays at 2pm. Free.
Art Open 2024 Exhibition
We are pleased to announce we will be kicking off our 2024 exhibition programme with our second ever Art Open. This is an open call to all artists, amateur and professional, to get ready to submit their work for what promises to be an exciting and diverse show.
Threads through Creation – Exhibition
You are invited to come and see the amazing panels of textiles by Jacqui Parkson. 'Threads through Creation' panels of spectacular stitching tell the christian story of 'Creation in the Bible. The eight million stitches express God's Love! Free.
Diamonds in the Landscape – Exhibition
Originally designated in 1964, the Forest of Bowland celebrates 60 years in 2024. This exhibition in the Steward's Gallery showcases talented photographers who have perfectly captured the beauty of the Bowland landscape. Exhibition ends 28th April. Free. Closed Wed & Thurs.
Liane Lang – Touch Stone Exhibition
Liane Lang's project Touch Stone talks about human industry and activity in the landscape, showing traces and materials from bark to lead, stone to rusty industrial salvage. Wed - Sun: 10am - 4pm. Free. Free

Storm the Castle
4079 “Pendennis Castle” will be visiting the East Lancashire Railway in Spring 2024, courtesy of Didcot Railway Centre, as part of her 100th anniversary celebrations! This historic steam locomotive was built in 1924 for the Great Western Railway and was well known for easily outperforming its rivals in speed and efficiency. Standard fares apply.
Strength & Balance Class – Up and Active Team
This is a low level circuit class and is suitable for adults of all ages. The class incorporates a variety of exercises to increase fitness levels, develop muscular strength (with the use of resistance bands) and to improve balance.
