Many visitors won’t remember steam traction, so the Diesel Gala brings back memories of these heritage machines that worked right from the end of steam up until recent memory – and in some cases, continue to do so!

VINTAGE TRAINS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER

On successive weekends in 2023, Vintage Trains will operate using a selection of our collection of historic older coaches, many of which date back to Victorian times and rarely see public use. These carriages form part of the Railway’s museum collection. Every weekend from 22nd July - 20th Aug.

Yorkshire Day in Keighley is a tongue-in-cheek celebration of living and working in God's own country, highlighting some of our favourite Yorkshire icons and local organisations. There will be plenty for the kids as well.  Most of it will be free, including - Tug-o-war with special prize, Railway Children show, inventor shows, exploding experiments, children’s rides, inflatables, face painting, dancing displays, comedy. Plus, we'll have a bit of fun with our friends and neighbours over the border in Lancashire....

Keighley & District Agricultural Show has taken place on the first Sat in Sept since the 1950s and provides an entertaining and fun day out for all the family. With the continued support of Keighley Town Council, we are pleased to be able to again offer subsidized show admission tickets at £5 for any adults, those 15 years old and under, accompanied by one paying adult will be admitted free.

Three artists, two from South Korea and one from England met at Camberwell School of Art in 1990 and became friends. They promised each other that one day they would hold an exhibition together. The years pass and now in 2024, Bradford District Museums and Galleries are hosting their exhibition ‘Within Nature – East and West’. Closed Mon.

Charity Golf Day

Airedale Hospital and Community Charity are hosting their first Charity golf day at Branshaw Golf Club in Oakworth. The Keighley & District Agricultural Show 2024

The Keighley & District Agricultural Show has been a staple event on the first Saturday in September since the 1950s, providing an entertaining and fun day out for all the family. The show features livestock, horses, horticulture, handicrafts, children’s amusements, trade stands, and many special attractions.

AUTUMN STEAM UP

You’ll be able to ride behind the locomotives over the two days, with intensive passenger service running on the railway. Across the traction-packed days, there’ll be a goods train demonstration, special double-headed trains, and even a visiting locomotive, perhaps a type that we wouldn’t usually have for our Spring Steam Gala.
