Wycoller Country Park is one of the prettiest country parks in Lancashire. The area is famous for its association with the Brontë sisters who referred to many of the nearby landmarks in books such as Wuthering Heights and Jane Eyre. There is many footpaths leading to local beauty spots which include Bank House and Wycoller Beck. Car park and cafe.

On successive weekends in 2023, Vintage Trains will operate using a selection of our collection of historic older coaches, many of which date back to Victorian times and rarely see public use. These carriages form part of the Railway’s museum collection. Every weekend from 22nd July - 20th Aug.

Extended opening times to welcome families to the Hall for a free teddy bear hunt around the house. There’s also time to take a woodland walk, enjoy brass rubbings, follow the tree face trail, climb on the play area, enjoy bee corner and the insect hotel, or run around the caterpillar maze. 1st - 31st Aug. The Alpaca Walking Experience
The Alpaca Walking Experience
Meet and greet the beautiful alpacas or take them for a private walk on this working sheep farm, located in the rural village of Samlesbury on a 35-acre smallholding. Feed them their favourite treats and learn lots of alpaca fact too. Walks last approximately one and a half hours, all children must be accompanied by a full paying adult. Adult £20, child £15.

Come along to one of our two summer schools! Young people will take part in acting and devising masterclasses alongside games and improvisation, all led by skilled practitioners. The week will culminate with a showcase for family and friends, and is a great opportunity to get creative, make new friends and learn valuable skills. 7th - 11th Aug (8 - 12yr olds), 21st - 25th Aug (13 - 18 yr olds).
