L.S LOWRY EXHIBITION

The Lowry Pier 8, The Quays, Salford

The Lowry is named after Laurence Stephen Lowry (1887 – 1976) – an artist who spent much of his life in Salford and whose work is strongly associated with the city. The largest L.S Lowry collection in the world on permanent display. Daily 10-minute L.S.Lowry talks on weekdays at 2pm. Free.

Threads through Creation – Exhibition

You are invited to come and see the amazing panels of textiles by Jacqui Parkson. 'Threads through Creation' panels of spectacular stitching tell the christian story of 'Creation in the Bible. The eight million stitches express God's Love! Free.        

Liane Lang – Touch Stone Exhibition

The Whitaker Museum & Art Gallery Haslington Road, Rossendale

Liane Lang's project Touch Stone talks about human industry and activity in the landscape, showing traces and materials from bark to lead, stone to rusty industrial salvage. Wed - Sun: 10am - 4pm. Free. Free

INTERNATIONAL JOUSTING TOURNAMENT

Royal Armouries Museum Armouries Drive,, Leeds

Teams from the United Kingdom, France and Italy will compete for honour and trophies in this spectacular live sporting event from medieval times. The museum opens at 10am and there are 2 tournament shows per day starting at 11am and 2pm, featuring knights and horses, plus plenty of pomp and pageantry. £5 - £20.

We recommend that you take three or four hours over your visit to appreciate the Museum exhibits, the aircraft and vehicle displays that make up this historically accurate RAF Bomber Base. Closed Wed. Various prices. Standard tickets offer free re-entry for 12 months.

Diamonds in the Landscape – Exhibition

Clitheroe Castle & Museum Castle Hill, Clitheroe

Originally designated in 1964, the Forest of Bowland celebrates 60 years in 2024. This exhibition in the Steward's Gallery showcases talented photographers who have perfectly captured the beauty of the Bowland landscape. Exhibition ends 28th April. Free. Closed Wed & Thurs.
