Set in the legendary city during the roaring “jazz hot” 20s, Chicago tells the story of aspiring chorus girl Roxie Hart and fading vaudeville star Velma Kelly who each face trial for murder. The two women compete for the services of shady lawyer Billy Flynn, who whips up Velma’s incarceration into a murder-of-the-week media frenzy, thus preparing the world for her acquittal and more importantly, a splashy showbiz comeback. But Roxie’s got some of her own tricks up her sleeve…
