YORKSHIRE AIR MUSEUM

Yorkshire Air Museum Halifax Way, Elvington, York

We recommend that you take three or four hours over your visit to appreciate the Museum exhibits, the aircraft and vehicle displays that make up this historically accurate RAF Bomber Base.  10am – 4pm. Last Admissions: 3pm. We are closed on Wed until Mar 1st.  Adult £12, child £5, under 5s free, family £30.

CLITHEROE MUSEUM

Clitheroe Castle & Museum Castle Hill, Clitheroe

The award-winning Museum is located in the former Steward's House, a Grade II listed building that was built in the 18th century to house the Steward of Clitheroe Castle.  Visitors to the museum will be transported through 350 million years of local history. There is a Gift Shop making it a great day out for all the family. Adult £4.90, concs £3.70, accompanied children free, young people 13-18 free. Open daily.

See where James Herriot, the worlds's most famous vet lived, worked and wrote his incredibly successful series of books based on his experiences as a young North Yorkshire vet. STEAMING DAY AT BANCROFT MILL ENGINE MUSUEM

Bancroft Mill Engine Museum Gillians Lane, Barnoldswick

On these days you can see our Engines and looms in operation, we have guided tours which explain the history of the mill, and the museum, and we aim to answer as many of your questions as we can. Gift shop and cafe.  Adult £6, concs £5, child £3, Family £15. Free parking.
