New waterfront scheme brings ‘superenting’ to MediaCityUK

  • Duet is a new residential development boasting 270 premium apartments, exclusively available to renters
  • Residents receive flexible lease terms, a calendar of social events, pet-friendly accommodation, access to a co-working space, communal gardens and onsite gym

A DISRUPTIVE new residential development, Duet, is set to join the city skyline and change the way people rent in MediaCityUK, having recently opened its doors for the first time.

The development spans across two 15-storey towers and features 270 premium apartments in a prime waterfront location next to the Harbour City tram stop and is set to change the way people live in rented accommodation in MediaCityUK.

As a Build to Rent (BTR) residence, the apartments have been designed specifically to give renters a better quality private rental experience – dubbed by Moorfield as “Superenting” for modern renters.

Available exclusively to renters, occupants will be able to enjoy impressive facilities designed to deliver both convenience and a community feel.

Those who rent the pet-friendly one, two and three bedroom apartments will enjoy free access to an on-site gym and fitness centre, 24-hour concierge, communal podium garden with waterfront views, a co-working space and residents’ lounge with a free coffee bar, as well as an exciting calendar of residents-only events – including Friday drinks and pet socials.

Apartments are available in furnished and unfurnished options and come in stylish designs, with inbuilt appliances, premium furniture packages and modern designs.

Apartments located above the seventh floor have stunning views over the cityscape and beyond.

The building is being delivered by Moorfield managed funds working with developer, Glenbrook Property and professionally managed by specialist rental operator Allsop. This will be Moorfield’s third ground-up BTR development following the The Trilogy on Ellesmere Street which opened in  April 2019 and is now fully occupied and The Forge in Newcastle which opened in September 2018.

Build to Rent is one of the fastest growing property trends in the UK  and is professionalising the rental experience with a flexible tenant friendly approach, all managed online by a professional, tech-enabled landlord.

Build to Rent properties are designed and built exclusively for the rental market.

Heiko Figge, Head of Operational Asset Management at Moorfield Group commented: “Salford has been undergoing a renaissance in recent years and is expected to grow exponentially over the next decade, making it one of the largest business communities.

“It was therefore the perfect location to choose for our next project and we’re confident that busy professionals will benefit from our high-end, stress free living option which is in both easy reach of the thriving MediaCityUK business community and less than a 10 minute tram ride into the city centre.

“We know the demand for premium Build to Rent options in Manchester is there, our first project Trilogy is now fully occupied after launching just last year, and we’re confident Duet will follow suit.”

Dougie Orton-Wade, general manager at Duet Salford Quays added: “Duet is more than just a home – through our shared communal facilities and calendar of events designed specifically for residents, we’re creating a community of like-minded professionals, who want more from their apartment than just a roof over their heads.

“We’re confident in the location and accommodation offering – which will suit professionals seeking luxury accommodation with flexible lease terms and a close-knit community. The number of enquiries we’ve already received shows just how much demand there is for this type of accommodation in the city.”

Duet is a new bespoke development of 270 one, two, and three-bedroom apartments, situated in the heart of Salford Quays just a few minutes’ walk from MediaCityUK.
