Drake & Macefield Bring Home the Bacon!

Craven’s oldest butchers, Drake & Macefield is officially a Deliciously Yorkshire champion, following the regional food organisation’s annual award ceremony at the Yorkshire Pavilions in Harrogate on Wednesday 6th November.
Drake & Macefield Butchers won the ‘Best Prepared Meat (Hot)’ category with its smoked back bacon. As the judges’ report said, “Drake & Macefield’s entry was a serious standout for the judges who loved its perfectly controlled level of smoke. We love its rich sweetness and know that breakfast would be memorable with this on our plates!”
Directors Steve Teal and Andrew Teal were presented with the award by Amanda Owen, ‘the Yorkshire Shepherdess’
and celebrity chef Stephanie Moon.
