I love the East Coast of England. The overriding feeling that I had when visiting the Collection was the high levels of consistency throughout, whether it be the newly refurbished bedrooms at The Plough in Scalby or the traditional family pub and carvery at The Mayfield, Seamer, the attention to detail and stamp of quality shines through.

The HQ Collection carries the distinctive trademark of award-winning dining, with all of the eateries offering varied and individually styled menus produced by a team of top chefs using only the finest local and regional ingredients together with a warm, friendly Yorkshire welcome that you come to expect. The Plough, for example, is quickly establishing itself as a must-go-to eatery in the Scarborough area. The relaxed restaurant delivers exciting menus, whether it be a locally inspired light lunch, terrific dinner menu, or a traditional roast dinner with Yorkshire Puddings and all the trimmings, you will not leave feeling disappointed. A noticeable element of the HQ Collection is the desire to please all tastes, so if archetypal restaurant style dining is not to your taste then The Mayfield with its delicious carvery and wide choice of pub classics, burgers, sharing platters and great value kids menu or the quaint Yew Tree cafe – offering breakfasts, sandwiches or coffees and cakes – may well be your preference.
