The Rich Man | Poetry
by Northern Life
By Russell Crabtree
He was earning quite a fortune.
I suppose that’s not too bad.
But lots and lots of money was all he had.
How to spend it, he could not relate.
I know I’ll have my body frozen
And come back at a later date.
He came back a thousand years after he had died.
First day back he didn’t like it,
So he committed suicide.
Suddenly there was a ringing in his head.
It was the alarm clock going off
And he jumped out of bed.
He said “my is that the time I must be on my way.”
And because of the dream he had that night
He’s a wiser man today.
