Scented Falls

Scented Falls | Poetry

by Northern Life

Irene Nutter, Burnley

Somewhere beneath the cave that calls
So deep below those scented falls,
Hide a murmur of secrets as yet untold,
In distant time, a treasure behold.

By day and by night, a crescendo of sound
Way above and below the craggy ground,
That spans a web far out of sight
Through a network of tunnels, pure crystal, so bright.

Through veil of mist, a glowing light
With gossamer wings so sheer so slight,
An angels paradise, so deep below
God’s gift of love, they will bestow.
