St George's Quay and view of Lancaster

The historic city of Lancaster makes for the perfect city break with its castle, shopping and night life, while the Ribble Valley is ideal for those looking for fresh air, gourmet treats and rural hide-ways. Those seeking entertainment aplenty will love Blackpool’s family attractions and theatres with lots of new developments planned for the resort in 2015.

If you think the city of Lancaster is just the dome of the Ashton Memorial, as viewed from the M6, then think again. This compact and cosmopolitan city is packed full of history, culture and events, including the UKs largest walkabout theatre and a castle owned by the queen.
