Immune-Boosting Smoothie

THIS SMOOTHIE IS A RAY OF SUNSHINE AND PACKS 4 OF YOUR 5-A-DAY IN JUST ONE GLASS
Ingredients
- 1 frozen or fresh banana
- 1 apple
- 1 carrot
- 1 orange – peeled
- The juice of 1/2 lemon
- A small piece of fresh ginger & turmeric (if you can’t find them fresh use 1/4 tsp of ground instead)
- A pinch of black pepper (to activate the turmeric)
- A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 cups of water to blend
Method
Place all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. If you are not using frozen bananas you might want to serve it with some ice cubes as smoothies always taste better when cold.
