Spring Drizzle
by Northern Life
By Carol Cooper , Darwen
Three frogs leave the water,
Bent on juicy frogs to slaughter,
(They enjoy the mist and damp).
Drizzly evenings, light fails early,
Yellow lamps in windows blurry,
Show cats indoors warm and purry.
Now fledglings take their evening bath,
Unafraid of feline wrath.
Despite the wet clothes on the line.
I’m glad it didn’t turn out fine.
