Politicians from the stage
Spouting words of wisdom
Pontificating as they do
To the United Kingdom

Pontificating politicians
Full of wind and water
They promise this, they promise that
Then don’t do what they oughta.

Economy is on the up
And jobless figures down
Then why the long and winding queues
At job centres in towns?

The NHS is in a mess
Hospitals overflowing
Shortage of staff and too much stress,
Downhill we are all going.

Then at the next election
You know what happens next
Promises, pontification,
Leaving us all vexed.
