We are now in our third year of the Todmorden Country Fair and have rebranded to Todmorden Game and Country Fair. Our focus this year is education around the countryside. Previous shows have had straw buildings and we are looking forward to showcasing more demonstrations ranging from thatching and fly fishing through to laser shooting. Last year coracle building proved to be a great success and we are hoping to see them float this year. Safari Phil is back with his exotic animals, and hopefully we won’t lose one of the flying Falcons this year and New Zealand Mike will be shearing by hand and sharing funny stories, find him outside the rare breed sheep marquee.

Rob the chef at The Hinchliffe Arms, Cragg road, Mytholmroyd will be sharing his culinary skills and secrets with his cooking demonstrations every hour providing tasty presentations alongside other chefs from outstanding restaurants and eateries from the local area. Terrier racing and scurrying along with PAWS rescue centre’s agility and happy dog competitions. A new horse display of Equitation will be in the main ring.

For lovers of all thing equine there’ll be plenty of pony and horses for all – you can walk your pony here if you haven’t got a horse box!

They’ll be plenty of trade stands showcasing local and surrounding food and goods and let’s not forget the racing camels and donkey rides!

The Todmorden Game and Country Fair is a marvellous family day out and last year over £2,350 was given to local charities.
