The line-up for the 2020 Lytham Festival has been announced with superstar headliners on each of the five days. Westlife, Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol, Lionel Richie and Little Mix have been confirmed as the 2020 headline acts. Tickets are already on sale as Lancashire’s biggest music festival prepares for another sell-out year.
Westlife will open the 2020 Lytham Festival on Wednesday 1 July. The headlining show by the Irish pop superstars will be part of their UK wide Stadiums in the Summer Tour which climax’s to a visit to Wembley Stadium. Hailed as the UK’s top selling album group of the 21st century, the global pop kings will perform all of their greatest hits including Swear It Again, Flying Without Wings and You Raise Me Up together with sensational up-tempo new songs from their latest album Spectrum.
Man-of-the-moment Lewis Capaldi headlines the Main Proms Arena on Thursday 2 July. The Scottish singer-songwriter bcame the first artist to sell-out a stadium tour before the release of his debut album Devinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent and is currently enjoying huge adoration on both sides of the Atlantic. He has also been nominated for a Grammy Award for his hit Someone You Loved.
Indie rockers Snow Patrol are the Friday night headliners. Over a 25-year career they have racked up an impressive number of accolades including more than 17 million global album sales and an Ivor Novello award. Their incredible 2006 hit single Chasing Cars went on to become UK radio’s most played song of the 21st century.
Saturday night’s headliner is international superstar Lionel Richie who will perform hits from his extensive and much-loved repertoire spanning decades, from the Commodores to the present day. Richie’s music is part of the fabric of pop music and hehas sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and is an Oscar, Golden Globe, and four-time Grammy Awards winner.
Lytham Festival will close on Sunday July 5 with a headlining set from the world’s biggest girl band Little Mix, as part of their huge outdoor Summer 2020 tour. Since 2011, Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall have not only established themselves as one of British pop’s brightest acts, but as a global pop phenomenon having sold more than 50 million records worldwide.
At least 75p from every ticket sale for Little Mix at Lytham Festival will be donated to Nordoff Robbins, a charity that uses the power of music therapy to enrich the lives of people affected by life limiting illness, isolation or disability.
“2020 is going to be yet another massive year for Lytham Festival,” says festival director Peter Taylor. “We had an incredible line-up for 2019 as we celebrated our 10-year anniversary so our mission was to make 2020 even bigger and better, and we believe the festival we have planned will do just that.
“To have Lionel Richie and Westlife on the same bill as Lewis Capaldi, Snow Patrol and Little Mix is incredibly exciting and really does make this our biggest ever line-up.
“There will be tens of thousands of people descending on Lytham for the five days of the festival and we can’t wait to welcome them for what will be five truly spectacular nights of live music.”
The 11th annual Lytham Festival takes place on Lytham Green from Wednesday 1st to Sunday 5th July. Individual tickets, priced from £35, and five-day passes priced at £199, giving festival-goers access to all nights on Lytham Green, are on sale now. A range of exclusive VIP offers are also available.
