Handel’s Messiah performed by the York Minster Choir
The York Minster Choir will be joined by internationally renowned soloists this Christmas for a special performance of Handel’s Messiah in the beautiful setting of York Minster’s Nave. The famous work was first performed in Dublin in 1742 and has since become one of the best-known and most popular English oratorios. What better way to celebrate Christmas than to experience the story of Christ through this moving and poignant choral performance?

Blackpool Music Service’s Annual Christmas Festival
Blackpool Music Service present it’s 14th Annual Christmas Festival at the Winter Gardens on Tuesday 13 December. The event features more than 1,00 vocalists and instrumentalists from virtually every school in Blackpool. A massed choir, choral features, orchestras and bands will play a variety of traditional, modern, film and popular Christmas music in order to ensure you enjoy the start to this year’s festive season. The evening performance starts promptly at 7.00pm and is expected to finish by 9.15pm.

Carol Service Train
The ever popular and not to be missed Annual Carol Service aboard the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is being held again on Saturday, 17th December. Starting at Oxenhope at 19.00, the train travels the Valley with carols, readings and prayers at stations along the way.
